Intervention Mechanism
A multistakeholder infrastructure transparency approach combines publication of project and contract information, independent review, and social accountability. It helps identify data gaps, unexplained changes, weak disclosure, and accountability risks across the project cycle.
Initiative Summary
CoST brings together government, the private sector, and civil society through multistakeholder groups (MSGs). The MSGs are a neutral platform for stakeholders allowing them to participate on an equal basis with one another.
Practice Lesson
This initiative demonstrates the value of a multi-stakeholder approach to strengthening infrastructure transparency and accountability.
